Role Summary:
A Medical Coding Associate (MCA) at WWS you will be responsible for assigning the appropriate code to describe a particular type of service to a patient. Ensuring that the codes are appropriately applied during the insurance billing process, including removing the information from documentation, assigning the appropriate codes, and creating a claim for reimbursement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Review and interpret medical records and clinical documentation
- Assign accurate medical codes for diagnoses, procedures, and services
- Ensure coding accuracy and compliance with guidelines
- Support clean claim creation for insurance reimbursement
Eligibility & Skills Required:
- Life Science graduate
- Minimum 6 months of work experience in any field
- CPC (Certified Professional Coder – AAPC) certification is an added advantage
- Proficient in computer applications
- Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology is an advantage
- Strong communication and analytical skills
- Prior experience in healthcare, medical billing, or medical coding is a plus
