L2-Networking Associate

Position Overview:

The Networking Associate will assist in the planning, implementation, and maintenance of network infrastructure. This role requires a detail-oriented individual with a strong technical background and excellent problem-solving skills. The ideal candidate will support network operations, ensure optimal network performance, and provide technical assistance to end-users.

Key Responsibilities:

• Network Implementation and Maintenance:
  • Assist in the installation, configuration, and maintenance of network hardware and software.
  • Monitor network performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure reliable network operation.
  • Perform routine maintenance and updates to network systems and equipment.
• Technical Support:
  • Provide technical support to end-users, resolving network-related issues promptly.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of network policies and procedures.
  • Document network configurations, changes, and procedures.
• Security and Compliance:
  • Ensure network security by implementing and maintaining appropriate security measures.
  • Monitor network traffic for security breaches and respond to potential threats.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and industry standards.
• Collaboration and Communication:
  • Work closely with other IT team members to support overall IT operations.
  • Communicate network status, issues, and changes to relevant stakeholders.
  • Provide training and support to users on network-related topics.
• Project Involvement:
  • Assist in network-related projects, including upgrades, expansions, and new installations.
  • Participate in planning and executing network-related initiatives to enhance system performance and reliability.
  • Collaborate with vendors and service providers as needed.

Qualifications:

• Education:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent experience.

Desired Candidate Profile:

• Minimum of 1-3 years of experience in networking or a related IT field.
• Familiarity with network hardware and software, including routers, switches, firewalls, and network monitoring tools.

Skills:

• Strong understanding of network protocols, architecture, and security.
• Proficiency in troubleshooting network issues and providing effective solutions.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
