Position Overview:
The Networking Associate will assist in the planning, implementation, and maintenance of network infrastructure. This role requires a detail-oriented individual with a strong technical background and excellent problem-solving skills. The ideal candidate will support network operations, ensure optimal network performance, and provide technical assistance to end-users.
Key Responsibilities:
- Network Implementation and Maintenance:
- Assist in the installation, configuration, and maintenance of network hardware and software.
- Monitor network performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure reliable network operation.
- Perform routine maintenance and updates to network systems and equipment.
- Technical Support:
- Provide technical support to end-users, resolving network-related issues promptly.
- Assist in the development and implementation of network policies and procedures.
- Document network configurations, changes, and procedures.
- Security and Compliance:
- Ensure network security by implementing and maintaining appropriate security measures.
- Monitor network traffic for security breaches and respond to potential threats.
- Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and industry standards.
- Collaboration and Communication:
- Work closely with other IT team members to support overall IT operations.
- Communicate network status, issues, and changes to relevant stakeholders.
- Provide training and support to users on network-related topics.
- Project Involvement:
- Assist in network-related projects, including upgrades, expansions, and new installations.
- Participate in planning and executing network-related initiatives to enhance system performance and reliability.
- Collaborate with vendors and service providers as needed.
Qualifications:
- Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
Desired Candidate Profile:
- Minimum of 1-3 years of experience in networking or a related IT field.
- Familiarity with network hardware and software, including routers, switches, firewalls, and network monitoring tools.
Skills:
- Strong understanding of network protocols, architecture, and security.
- Proficiency in troubleshooting network issues and providing effective solutions.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
