L4 – Group Coordinator Clinical Documentation Associate

As a Senior Clinical Documentation Associate at WWS you will be responsible to perform extensively review all physician and clinical documentation, lab results, diagnostic information, and treatment plans and capturing appropriate information on worksheets. Utilizing clinical skills to identify documentation opportunities that reflect severity of illness, acuity and resource consumption.

What We Expect

  • Any Life Science Graduate.
  • Should have 4+ years of experience in medical coding.
  • Working knowledge in coding principles and practices including procedures and diagnoses.
  • In-depth knowledge of medical terminology, coding, and procedures.
  • Prior experience as a clinical documentation specialist.
  • Flexibility in shifts is appreciated.

 A Senior Clinical Documentation Associate Ideal Day at WWS 

Compliance Assistance. Collaborate with Risk Management, Infection Control, and Guest Relations, Patient Safety, Safety Department and others to maximize compliance with Regulatory Standards. Assisting in the medical screening process by documenting appropriateness of patient admission, working DRG & LOS info on worksheet and computer system as appropriate

Report Maintenance. To create written reports which they provide to medical professionals, decision makers, and the public so that healthcare efforts in a facility can be judged objectively. The work also entails interpreting reports to identify positive or negative outcomes of solutions proffered for health care problems.

Treat and Train. Strategically educates members of the patient-care team regarding documentation regulations and guidelines, including attending physicians, allied health practitioners, nursing, and care management. This includes quarterly compliance updates from Medicare to be summed up.
